What is the term of a franchise?
For a new store the franchise has a ten year term. This allows the franchisee security of tenure to develop and grow their business.

Do I have to be a mechanic?
No, an interest in cars and Auto Service is certainly valuable; however we have a highly qualified team of Auto Service experts to assist you in driving the mechanical component of your business.

Can I own more than one Bridgestone Select Store?
Yes you can, after a period of time successfully running your first Bridgestone Select store.

Who selects the site?
Bridgestone will select the site and secure the lease. Ultimately however, you must satisfy yourself as to the suitability of the premises.

Yes we do. Please see a list of opportunities here.

Is previous experience in tyres required?
No, we will provide you with all you need to know, however management capabilities and a commitment to fantastic customer service are prerequisites.

Are franchisees expected to actively work in store?
Yes. Franchisees are expected to work in store. This is an important factor in the success of our stores. 

Can Bridgestone assist with finance?
No, however Bridgestone Select is a recognised franchisor with ANZ bank.

What are the franchise fees?
There is a once off fee of $50,000, then an ongoing percentage calculated on sales of all qualifying products and services at an extremely attractive rate of 3.5%. Unlike many franchise systems Bridgestone does not charge a separate marketing levy. See the Opportunities page for costs per franchise opportunity.

Is the deposit refundable?
There will be a $10,000 (ex GST) deposit to secure the store at the same time you are issued with the Disclosure Documents. The deposit will be credited to your stores trading account.

What are the costs?
The investment required to open a Bridgestone Select store depends on the size and location of the property and whether you’re purchasing a new or existing store. Indicative cost of setting up a new store or purchasing an existing one is from $250,000 - $450,000 including your franchise fee.

Bank Guarantee
A bank guarantee is required in order to secure the model stock.

What is included in the price?
The price for a store includes the following: your franchise fee of $50,000; all equipment; showroom furnishings and fitout; uniforms; phone and security system; POS software and hardware; and initial stock. You will also need to consider your working capital.

What can I expect for my investment?
We cannot predict how well your store will do, but we can provide you with indicative sales and trading data once a Confidentiality deed has been executed. For existing stores we will also put you in touch with the current owner to review their sales figures and trading information.
It is vital that you seek financial advice during the recruitment process as part of your due diligence as you will need to develop and submit your own profit and loss forecast and business plan.

What happens after I submit my enquiry?

1. Our recruitment team will contact you
2. You will have an interview with our recruitment team
3. You will be issued with a Franchisee Kit
4. You will be asked to undertake psychometric profiling and complete a detailed questionnaire, as well as complete a police clearance
5. There will be a final interview with our recruitment team and regional manager
6. You will participate in a Discovery Tour which includes talking with our existing franchisees and a one day in-store experience
7. Time to secure your store with a $10,000 deposit
8. Our Franchise agreement is offered after all due diligence checks are completed, including a review of your business plan
9. You will complete a week-long induction program
