Bridgestone has been at the forefront of innovation and development in motorsport since we made our racing debut at the first Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka in 1963. The tyres we supplied were regular car tyres, but within three years we’d developed a racing tyre and began our long association with motorsport.

Ours is an unparalleled heritage. In Formula 1 we’ve racked up more than 100 race wins and been the choice of champions across GP2, Champ Car and MotoGP. We've been behind some of the greats – legends like Peter Brock, Michael Schumacher, who won five Drivers’ Championships in succession with us, and Casey Stoner, who won both of his MotoGP World Championships and all of his 38 premier class races on Bridgestone. And now we are excited to have formed a partnership in 2013 with Nissan Motorsport for the V8 Supercars Championship.

The Bridgestone Potenza RE-11s is our premium performance tyre, strictly for circuit use. The pattern technology with its semi slick shoulder block and racing stealth 3D groove delivers optimum performance, grip and cornering under extreme conditions on dry tracks plus excellent drainage in the wet. Stability and grip are aided by the dual layer particulate carbon and special polymer compound, while the new spiral belt structure gives greater rigidity while racing.
