Independent testing to the ADR 81/02 test standard demonstrated Ecopia EP300 delivers a fuel saving of 4.2% compared to a conventional tyre.^
Bridgestone Ecopia compound features state-of-the-art reinforcement particle technology, which reduces heat build‑up and in turn reduces rolling resistance.
^Product independently tested in accordance with ADR 81/02 on 2017 Toyota Corolla Ascent Hatch fitted with tyre size 205/55R16. Actual fuel consumption and CO2 emissions depend on factors such as traffic conditions, vehicle condition and driving style. Ecopia EP300 fuel consumption test performed against a conventional tyre.

Utilising our global research capabilities and cutting edge technology, Bridgestone have created a lower rolling resistance tyre that maintains the high quality and safety standards that Bridgestone are renowned for. Rolling resistance is the force required to roll a tyre.
The more resistance, the more fuel is required to power the vehicle and the more CO2 emissions are emitted. The lower rolling resistance of Ecopia improves your vehicle’s fuel efficiency and reduces the amount of CO2 emitted into the environment.

It’s Bridgestone’s advanced lower rolling resistance compound technology that sets Ecopia apart.
Conventional tyre
Friction between carbon molecules generates heat and leads to energy loss.
Ecopia’s lower rolling resistance
The polymer and carbon molecules fuse together in an optimal arrangement to minimise energy loss from heat.
Advanced Ecopia EP300 compound
The microparticle silica in the Ecopia EP300 compound further improves dispersion of the particles, reducing energy lost to heat. This further improves rolling resistance, maximising fuel efficiency.

Ecopia EP100 fuel consumption test performed against conventional competitor tyre. *Rolling resistance test conducted in 2010 by Bridgestone New Zealand using 2 identical VW Golfs fitted with tyres size 195/65R15. Both vehicles were rolled down a ramp from a height of 1.1m (back wheel height). The vehicle fitted with Ecopia tyres travelled an average of 85m and the vehicle fitted with conventional tyres travelled an average of 60m. This was a difference of 42%.
