Bridgestone Brought Christmas Cheer For Worthy Cause

Bridgestone Australia spread holiday cheer in haematology wards and day clinics throughout December as part of its Deck the Halls initiative.

Armed with Christmas trees, tinsel, baubles and crackers, staff helped decorate various hospitals across the country where patients undergo vital treatment for blood cancer.

Over recent years Bridgestone has partnered with the Leukaemia Foundation to bring a little sparkle to patients, their families and hospital staff.

Director Corporate Services and Risk Management Joanne Denley said the Company was proud to have taken part in the Deck the Halls initiative again.

“It’s an unfortunate reality that many people with blood cancer will have to spend the festive season in and out of hospital,” Ms Denley said.

“It’s become a tradition for us to join forces with our friends at the Leukaemia Foundation – with whom we have enjoyed an almost 30 year relationship – to bring a little Christmas cheer.”

“It was great to see our staff so willing to give up their time to put smiles on the faces of brave blood cancer patients and the hard working people that care for them.”

Bridgestone staff visited hospitals in Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Brisbane and Perth as part of the Deck the Halls initiative.
