M766 Proves Another Breakthrough for Bridgestone

We’re pretty chuffed with the response to our latest innovation for the heavy vehicle market ‑ the Bridgestone Multi Trans M766 – and its growing reputation as Australia’s longer lasting drive tyre.

The M766 features a breakthrough tread compound specifically designed and developed for Australia’s logistics challenge. It also delivers exceptional wear life, with testing showing it outperformed a major premium competitor by as much as 18%.

“We conducted extensive testing in the lead up to the release of this tyre and are absolutely confident in the extended wear life that it provides.”

Creating great interest is the fact that the M766’s wet traction far exceeds its predecessor’s thanks to a supported block pattern. Testing has shown the new tyre increases wet traction force by a massive 48% when compared with the M722, vastly improving both braking and acceleration performance.

As with all Bridgestone heavy duty tyres, the M766 is manufactured using a tough, durable casing that makes it ideal for Bandag re-treading, further increasing its value and lowering its impact on the environment.

Other features include a wider and deeper tread (with 21% more tread rubber volume than the M722) for longer wear life and new semi-closed shoulder blocks with tie-bar to reduce block deformation. It also has unique S-shaped sipes, which reduce lateral and circumferential block movement, resulting in more even wear and extending their life even further.
